Being creative with our syrups doesn't mean taking a ton of ingredients, time, and a massive mess. Making a meal for you and your family can be sweet and simple with high quality tools, hand crafted ingredients, and fresh local produce. We used one syrup 3 ways to craft a delicious, flavorful, and nutritious dinner. We hope you enjoy sharing this meal as much as we did.
Sumac Steak Marinade
Ingredients:
1/4C Soy Sauce
1/8C Lime Juice
Mix in a large bowl. Cover and marinate 1-3 hours.
As the steaks cook, we prepared a simple salad.
Dressing Ingredients:
1/4C Olive Oil
1/4C cup Lemon Juice
Pinch of Salt
Dash of Pepper
Shake all ingredients in a mason jar. Dress a bowl of mesclun mix or spinach and top with strawberries and toasted black sesame seeds.
We tossed some chopped broccoli in a cast iron and once cooked to bright green, we topped it with the leftover marinade until cooked through.
